  1. I know it is super small sample size. But have loved watching him so far this year. Hopefully he can fix up some turnover issues, but I also feel like it has been sloppy play from the team in general.

Idk much about advanced stats, but Sengun always passes eye test when I watch him play. Aggressive on offensive boards, looking to set up his teammates, hyper creative in limited space, getting in the right spot defensively, not scared to take a 3, etc

Just a big fan of his game.

  2. This is even more impressive when you consider:

    * He did not train with the team most of the summer because of international commitments

    * He’s not being utilized by his surrounding teammates for what he does best, which is passing

I’d like to see him continue to work on his strength and size so he doesn’t get bullied by the other centers in the league and his positioning on defense. He is already set back by his height but I think he can seriously make up a lot of ground defensively by his ability to read the oppositions offense. He will also naturally look better on defense when he and the team become better organized

  3. Sengun is my guy and I love watching him, that being said cover your fanboy eyes.

He is so bad at rolling in the pick and roll. KPJ isn’t great and finding good passing angles but he’s serviceable. Sengun just literally cannot catch when rolling. Fucking stone hands. I was going to sit down and make a compilation of the first few games of him just fumbling decent passes but I got angry.

There’s real opportunity for him to catch and shoot a little floater or push shot. We saw him take and convert one last night which is a huge win if he can keep developing that.
