One point I haven’t heard mentioned much is that Klay’s offensive contribution suffer from poor ball movement, and that has been a TEAM failure early in this season. Steph gets looks off movement and screens, but also develops his own shots with the ball in his hands. With Klay, it is much more strongly tilted toward to former. If the ball isn’t moving well, and if passes aren’t made in the instants that Klay gets open, of course he’s going to get worse looks and worse results.
He also benefits from transition offense. With the whole team on the move, and with the scoring threats provided by Steph and Wiggs, defenses can’t focus on everyone, and in their zeal to stop Steph, Klay & Wiggs can feast on open shots & drives. But our defense has been creating far less transition opportunities than it did last year, so Klay has been much more limited to the set offense.
Klay has given us 4 chips, 1 ACL and 1 achilles.
If he didn’t get injured I’m 100% sure we would’ve gotten our 5th.

It’s a business and the fo has been more than accommodating. He still has plenty left in the tank but I think for now he should lead the second unit and let JP take his spot for a while.

So many warriors fans saying that Poole should start over Klay. Like man, that’s so much disrespect. Poole’s defence is horrendous and his offence is spotty. You can’t start poole just for the mere fact that his defence is non existent and frankly sad. I’m not gonna lie, when Poole’s on the court, he drives me crazy. On offence, if he doesn’t have the ball, he’s standing around. If he doesn’t think he’s gonna get the ball he just doesn’t even care. He’s like Westbrook, in the sense that he has to have the ball to be efficient.
He’s even worse on defence. He literally just stands there. He doesn’t even barely walk around. He just swipes as someone goes by him. He’s standing still most of the time and just doesn’t even care. He’s lost on defence and often misses his assignment.
Klay will get his shot back. He’s a shooter. He will be fine. Defensively, I saw some good flashes of D. I think he’ll get back to playing good D. It might not be elite but he’ll still be really good on D. He just needs more conditioning.
Well Klay didn’t play much this offseason correct? Isn’t it safe to assume he’s still wiping off some offseason rust? I’d be more concerned if he’s playing poorly after like 25ish games

Shit is embarrassing tbh, just like all of the “trade Dray, Kuminga and Wiseman will take his spot” talk was. People taking the catalysts for one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history for granted.
Klay didn’t scrimmage all summer, had one game of work in preseason, and is on a minutes limit. Give him a fucking break, let him get his legs under him first.
i think klay put so much pressure on himself to comeback to his best shape, and that is messing with his game and the team, he needs to take it slowly and focus on getting things one at a time, he is klay , he can space the floor no one gonna give him too much distance, so he should work on his defense and regain his feet, i have seen him dragging his feet multiple times , ball watching , spacing out because he missed a lot of shots, kerr need to put him in a corner , and wait for an assist for easy 3 instead of running around screens and shooting leaning forward 3s or rushed shots, they don’t need hot klay or game 6 klay on regular season , all they need him to do on offense is make 4 3s out of 10 shots and some IQ assist to other shooters, there are a lot of good shooters around him now, it not just him and steph
Honest question: have the fans at Chase booed Klay this season? I’m guessing they haven’t. Online is online. Ignore it and it goes away.
