Mods, don’t remove this. It should be considered a major update, and publicly known that Nash has chosen to give credibility to Kyrie’s anti-Semitism. Nobody will see it if it’s shoved into the Kyrie thread (that most updates don’t go into anyway).

  1. >”I just hope that we all go through this together,” Nash said prior to Monday’s game against the Indiana Pacers. “There’s always an opportunity for us to grow and understand new perspectives. I think the organization is trying to take that stance where we can communicate through this. And try to all come out in a better position and both more understanding and more empathy for every side of this debate and situation.”

You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.

  2. As long as advertisers are not pulling out nothing will happen besides weak ass condemnations

  3. We should learn and grow some Hitler shit??? They gave Kyrie the flat earth and now he’s gone.

  4. This is the type of thing that has enabled some really horrific shit to gain traction in the past. It starts off small w/ people playing coy, trying to play both sides, mitigating retaliation on themselves, making decisions based on personal finance instead of principal, etc. when they have an opportunity to make a strong statement opposing what is essentially racist propaganda.

Some things don’t deserve to be given a platform and suggesting we should be empathetic toward the perspective of blatant and misleading anti-Semitic content is sort of one of those things.

I suspect people like Nash are going to look back on this w/ regret later all for the sake to continue being treated like a doormat by an organization whose stars went out of their way to try to get him fired anyway.

  5. Steve Nash has the opportunity to stand up and do the right thing. Hold Kyrie to account. You’re gonna get fired anyway, might as well speak up against Kyrie!

  6. I cannot believe this. All respect for Nash (and let’s be real, it’s fucked up that he has to be the organizations voice for all the BS he’s dealt with) and the Nets organization is gone.

Is winning a title and keeping Kevin Durant “happy” so important that you lend credence to the fool that is Kyrie Irving???

And I got my fellow Lakers fans over here hoping all this “drama” means we can get Kyrie on the cheap…just smdh

  7. What a bitch. Does he think schools should also teach “different perspectives” with regards to the holocaust? Fuckin fraud

  8. So many people are botching this situation so badly. It’s been pretty gross to watch the NBA, players, coaches, etc. completely shy away from the clear and obvious right thing to do when someone spouts bigotry.

  9. Love 2 consider both sides of the debate that Jews are evil monsters who control the world.

  10. Fucking hypocrites, if it was a white player promoting a movie who preach racism towards black people he was out of the league in no time.

The league lost it completely, absolute shit show.

  11. Nash used to be one of my favorite players ever, partly because he seemed like an overall great dude off the court too. Fuck him for this, for both-sides-ing fucking anti-semitism. Fuck all involved. Nash used to be a hero of mine, now he’s garbage with a flesh coating.

  12. Adding Steve Nash to people I no longer respect. Pretty sad because I liked him as a player.

  13. I don’t want to hear about how hard these guys have it ever again. They can’t even be told they’re spewing pure anti-semitic bullshit. Probably afraid to lose the locker room. Unbelievable.
