[Dan Orlovsky] This was Wilson’s first pass attempt of the game. A play that the coaches surely went over with him multiple times of “how” to do it. How the INTS happen-bad…but this is just as frustrating to see. Maturity needed and he’s gotta go thru this

  1. It’s tough with Zach, you see a lot of promise and lots of immaturity. Everyone is comparing him to Allen but I would like you guys to look at Huts’ short career. In year two with Hurts he made poor decisions, jumped out of the pocket immediately then when he held the pocket he would hold the ball forever. Hurts seemed like a bipolar QB last year. Once Siriani took the game out of Hurts’ hands and went run first with the occasional RPO (Hurts is a by far better runner) they started winning because he managed the game and let the D win it. Obviously year 3 for Hurts is amazing.

I feel like we’re in the same situation as the Eagles last year. Talented team with a QB that we don’t know who he is. Unfortunately it’s going to take time and lots of coaching around Zach to make sure he progresses slightly and doesn’t feel the need to do too much.

Also one other note is that Hurts has an amazing o-line.

  2. There’s a video where a bunch of players are talking about what superpower they have and ZW goes “decision making”. Lmao.

  3. Those were the throws that all the Wilson dick riders were calling us “doomers” for pointing out that last 3 weeks.

  4. This also dispels this notion that LaFleur never gives Zach anything easy to ease him into the game.

  5. Interesting how everyone has been screaming for MiLF to simplify the plays to help ZWs growth and development and specifically wanted these type of plays to be called for him, then when it happens and it doesn’t work it’s Zach’s fault for not reading the entire defense. Not EXCUSING it, just an interesting observation on the insanity that is this sub

  6. uh if Zach makes the throw Orlovsky says, it gets tipped or a INT.. the throw he made is much safer if he makes a more accurate throw..

watch where he thinks the throw should go.. right into the path of the LB.. this is why this dude ran out of the back of the endzone.

  7. It looks like great coverage to me across the board though. Zach would have to quick read the slant to Garrett because is if he hesitates Judon under cuts that and has a pick. I order for it work Garrett MC would be the first read.

  8. Part of me feels like he does need to sit or should’ve sat to start last yr. Still feels like the game is moving too fast for him and he needs to get things like footwork and decision making fixed. I like LaFleur and Calabrese, but think it would be good to have another veteran coach out there to help Zach, like Greg Knapp (RIP)

  9. Idk about this one If he throws the slant judon is picking that off or breaking it up for an incomplete. I think an elite qb can make that throw to the slant tho but for someone like zw dumping to the rb and give hima chance to make a play n break a tackle isnt the worse thing.

  10. Mike LF shoulda had a different script against Belichick who thrives against rookie QBs. Shoulda ran way more. Especially on the first RZ trip. Mike LF sucks
