Does anyone know if Robertson got dropped back down? Not seeing him in the line up for today.

  1. He is a healthy scratch. He was wearing grey at practice yesterday.

Which is just silly but it is what it is.

  2. I haven’t liked kampf being on the 4th line, he earned a 3rd line spot with his performance last year.

  3. Malgin out, Kubel in on 4th
    Kerfoot on the 3rd
    ZAR on the 2nd
Engval with Kampf on the 4th

Need more tenacity up the lineup

I don’t agree our bottom 6 is bad. I think it’s better. But when your top line is struggling, our D is bad and cheating on offense… you can’t expect your bottom 6 to play like bottom 6(finish checks etc) when your d is jumping into the play when they shouldn’t and your top 6 are turning over the puck and you spend half your limited time chasing the puck.

  4. I kinda hate this lineup. Robertson and Malgin looked good on the third line but then they get broken up while Robertson gets scratched. Not sure how either guy is supposed to find much success in this scenario. Kampf is also a better 3C than Holmberg at this point on merit alone…

  5. I haven’t watched the last few games, but at the start of the season he looked awesome! Fast, good shot, it’s hard to believe his minutes were so low, and now healthy scratch.

What’s going on with his game right now?

  6. It’s not a lineup issue, the guys stopped playing overall. Even our shittiest lineup shouldn’t get those results. Hell, even Marlies wouldn’t be 4-4-2 with those teams.

We just need to find a way to jumpstart the team and then form an ideal lineup with trial and error.

  7. I’m glad Holmberg is getting a chance. With the cap relief we currently have, I think it can only help to cycle in some fresh blood into the bottom 6 for the sparse minutes they will likely play. Seems Keefe keeps trying to mix and match and hope for magic, though.

  8. Scratching Nick Robertson for this bottom 6.

Like, maybe I get it. Maybe it’s a size thing. But Engvall plays like he’s 4’11. If I’m Keefe and I see Engvall skate away from another hit … he’s done. Actually, I’ll take that a step further. I’m sending Engvall out without a stick if he’s going out on 5 on 5. Fucking. Hit.
