  1. They need a brand-new logo. Hire whoever did the Wild’s logo and go back to the black color scheme

  2. I have never considered the Flying V as a logo. Just stripping in a weird place lol

  3. Might be a hot take, but I always loved the Johnny V shoulder patch from the old 3rd jersey we had. I think it could’ve worked as our full time home jersey if we went that route instead of the orca + Vancouver arch. A white version would’ve been sharp, although probably would’ve been rangers-esque with green in place of red.

Also slight off topic/jersey concept idea here, but take the 1989 black skate jersey with the v’s on the shoulders, and swap out the skate in favour of the indigenous reconciliation orca variant. There you have a home run alternate jersey, and just take my fucking money. Imo the Indigenous orca is *dramatically* superior to the traditional orca. I would love to see it adopted full time either in 94 colours or blue and green.

  4. I don’t think there’s a sports team in the world that has gone through as many significant rebrands as the Canucks. Seeing it all laid out here is bananas.

  5. Stick in rink logo. With spaghetti colours. On the black red orange jersey would look absolutely so fucking sick as a modern jersey.

  6. Flying V is still the one I will die on a hill for.

Why? I wore it as a kid growing up in the early 1980s. I even have it in some school photos. It’s the greatest design in sports history.

  7. I’d be interested to see an new logo for the Canucks in the future that have nothing to do with the V, the orca, the stick, or Johnny Canuck. Not to say they are all bad, but I want to see what other logos could be expanded from the word CANUCK.

  8. I think the west coast express orca is so much better with that red trim and vibrant colour scheme!

  9. The second row needs its respect because at least for the most part it kept trying something new.

The bottom row gave up and just kept mining history and an aging logo because of a misguided understanding of brand history. I wish they would use the Flying V “logo” as a jumping off point for a new image and stick to the ‘V’ as part of our team image. It seems like a natural evolution of progress and would be really fresh on the eyes moving forward.
