Uh, we’ve sucked some in the last 15 years.
Ovi tax is all we get out of this game, except kuemper playing well again
It really sucks, I was focused on this year being the last hurrah, while preparing to embrace the suck. We get plagued and I have to do it a year early.

I mean, we’re down a lot of our big name players. Yes, it’s absolutely time to get younger, but we’re absolutely struggling. I think it’ll be just as awesome as the next person to see him do it, but we mortgaged the next four years to watch Ovi get the scoring record.
If he gets it, he gets it, and that’s freaking amazing. But the goal is to win a Cup as a team, not chase individual records.
It’s funny because I remember being at a game some time in the late 2000s, back when you just assumed they’d win every game, and thinking forward to when the Caps would inevitably suck again, and laughing to myself about how I’d be over forty and old. I am now over forty and old.
