  1. Like everything in Leaf-land – a big win feels bittersweet. Not sure what they’ll do in net now.

  2. Absurd game defensively, especially in the 3rd period. Let’s keep it rolling boys!

  3. Easily the best performance so far this season. What a game! Sending prayers to Sammy. We need more smile.

  4. I don’t understand how this team loses to bottom feeder teams but can snap a win streak of the hottest team in the east while using their backup backup goalie. Still happy though fuck the bruins

  5. Great effort but Samsonov getting hurt is a huge negative on an otherwise all positive night.

One other thing though that wasnt mentioned, Ullmark was on an 8 game win streak to start the season so the Leafs just killed his chances to catch Campbell’s record.

  6. Switching to the Habs game and watching them getting fed is like a post coitus cigarette.

  7. Giordano continues to impress defensively. We are increasingly lucky he decided to take over the Spezza discount

  8. Is there anything Leafsier than beating the team with the best record in the league in the same week they lose to one of the worst?

  9. Really hope sammy is just day to day at worst credit to Kallgren for making the saves he needed

  10. Who says a finesse team can’t play gritty and greasy? All around amazing effort by the Buds. Even Holl with his stick/lance had a good game and was a wall in front of his own net. I have said all along that the Leaf starve or feast based on their psyches, not on their talent – and this is what they look like playing confident. Now… if they could only find this gear agains lesser foes, we would be golden… or Stanley Cup silver!

  11. For all the hate we give Holl, can we take a moment to appreciate how good of a game he had and how much of a warrior he was in the 3rd?

  12. Real talk though…

What goalies are available that we could realistically get before 5PM tomorrow?

  13. Liljegren is so noticeable in this lineup. Instead of a Holl gaff every other shift, it’s just crisp passes and won board battles. Lilly play’s like a vet out there.

  14. Literally night and day from the October games where even when the team won games, they were evenly matched statistically speaking vs the bum teams of the league.

This game was more indicative of the games from last season:

    – The Leafs had a 60%+ CF for most of the game
    – Outshot the Bruins 2 to 1 until the final 10 minutes or so
    – Held Boston to 4 high danger shots until the final 5 minutes

  15. For all the criticism that he has deserved, Holl played a great game tonight. For 2 million to be our 3rd most played D, he’ll never be perfect but if he can play like this all hope may not be lost.
