Welp, if we offered a 2nd and late round pick for Claypool and they still said no, no idea what to do from there.
Year after year we hear reports of “trying”.
It comes down to: you want a bunch of years of pretty good play, or one year of excellent play?
We take option 3: suck this year, start rebuilding when we lose the cap hits
Gutey, you sonofabitch, I’m in!
Doesn’t matter. We got who we got. GPG!
Why is that for other teams, it’s landing a big player like Christian McCaffrey or Bradley Chubb. For the Packers, it’s ‘tried to.’
Packers leak story…only difference is we see how hard they tried, on at least one of the supposed targets.
Perfect timing too cause their front office was gonna get skewered on all thr pre game shows today.
Lol, the Packers front office 100% leaked this to Adam Schefter and basically told angry fans “Don’t blame us, at least we tried”.
If the front office really wanted a player, they would overpay to get him, like how we spent a 1st and a 4th on a backup QB, 2 2nd on a FCS injury prone project WR. The only reason we didn’t get those guys is because the front office really didn’t want them badly enough.
Do or do not. There is no try.
Waller makes no sense to me. He’s oft injured and this season is no exception
This was already commonly known
#In The Mix
It is what it is. People here were losing their minds about a trade and we’d probably be just as bad even after the trade. Too many holes.
Waller would have been huge for us. We haven’t had a good TE since Finley. I hope the Pack can either get one in FA next year or through the draft. This is something that will really be needed once Rodgers leaves any ways.
They were reportedly heavily after Waller pre-draft, as well. That makes sense as the guy who got pulled off the trade market.
I am a little confused about what happened with Waller. I thought he was supposed to be part of the Adams trade. Didn’t work out because of some league rule and then we were going wait and make a new trade for him.
That’s nice.
They should have tried harder
So tired of hearing how the packers tried to get said player, but didn’t.
Y’all are seeming to forget we’ve got samouri toure, he’s putting up 235 by half today
Seems extremely odd we were willing to pay a second for Claypool, take on wallers new extention, but weren’t willing to offer a second and fifth for jeudy. Something isn’t adding up here
They always “try”. Always the bridesmaid never the bride.
Fuck off. 30 years of HOF QB play and 2 rings. Fuck all the way off.
