The guy on the left, Ford Proctor, is a Giants legend. The guy next to him is mostly known for having nice curly hair.
Hiya! I’m a huge SF Giants fan if you’d like to chat I’ll let ya know some SF history, some recent history and what/who to look forward to in this journey! I’m from CA living in England at the moment but hey I’d love to talk baseball with someone out here! I will say the hardest part about being a fan of west coast teams is the time zone! Have won the most games of any MLB franchise, most Hall of Fame players of any National League franchise, had the greatest all-around baseball player in history, the all-time home run king, the last NL player to hit .400, the most famed defensive play ever along with the most famed home run, and pioneered a new style of baseball that changed the game forever under the manager with the highest winning percentage in MLB history.
That’s just off the too of my head, though. There are many, many more reasons to root for the Giants. It was the best choice you could possibly make– good job, OP. And this is a totally impartial and unbiased post, so you can take it to the bank.
Far too much to share, but assuming you can’t get an Anchor Steam, LAF from Deeside Brewing is the next best thing. Crack one, and enjoy the history! Start with Mays, and don’t let anyone tell you that Bonds wasn’t the best pure hitter to ever play the game.
