  1. See ya. I’d rather have someone that isn’t intimidated by NY being “loud”. I’d rather sign Rodón.

  2. I don’t think he’ll back unfortunately. He was in the Cy young race in 2021 and this year he proved he’s a quality 2nd starter in any rotation. He’s going to be out of our price range if we’re in the market for a big bat and resign jake. Jake and max at the top with another big bat addition will to be too expensive to pay Chris $30M a year which is what he’s probably gonna get. I think we resign Taijuan tbh at like $20M, let Carlos walk too, and have megill and Peterson slide into the rotation.

  3. Makes sense for him. I still hope we bring him back. We probably won’t be able to afford it if we re-sign deGrom, but Bassitt is an inning eater and extremely healthy, and was probably our best pitcher last year if you take # of innings into account

  4. Meh…he was a decent late rotation guy, but he wasn’t a NY guy. Hell do every well with a team like the Padres

  5. Money in pro sports is so ridiculous lol. Imagine declining 19 million and everyone is like “ofc”
