How does a shooting dropoff like this happen? This is at an 82 game sample, and I can’t recall another top player completely losing their jumper in their late 20s

  1. Seems to coincide with then he got injuried and started to bulk up to accomodate playing the 5 thanks to Westbrook

  2. Some players, they win a chip and feel accomplished.

Other players win a championship and still want more.

  3. I think he needs to play the 4. it’s a terrible they have have forced him to play the 5 these last 2 seasons.

  4. Perhaps it’s partly physical, but given his coincident drop off in FT %, he’s not practicing his shooting as much.

  5. I kinda like it tbh. Better than the dumbass mid rangers he used to shoot. At least he’s dominating the paint

  6. It doesn’t make any sense. His jumper completely cratered after the championship season. There needs to be an investigation on what happened during that short offseason.

  7. He’s completely lost confidence in his shot. Even the handful that he has made you can tell that he was surprised that he actually made it. With the shitty team comp AD was really doomed from the start because he’s left no choice but to play center. AD is AD because he is a strecth-4 that can score at all three levels. Now he’s a shell of himself trying to conform into a post-up 5. Still a pretty damn good shell but if they want him to be the player they know he can be they need to fix the team comp issues asap
