  1. If you guys are going to be mad about a career 40% three point shooter standing wide open in the corner then idk what to tell you.

  2. Nah thats on Ayo for not seeing Pat wide open in the corner. He made that lay up anyways so its all good. But dont try to cherry pick reasons to hate on Pat tho.

  3. lol sure but this specific instance is not the situation to cut. Zach is in the opposite corner and there are no shot blockers in the paint. this is basically a one-on-one for Ayo because Zach’s man is going to hesitate to come over. Ayo recognized this and drove hard to the rim. he will either have an easy layup, because he beat his man, or draw two defenders with 2 shooters in the corner to pass it to.

  4. This is a basketball IQ question. He doesn’t cut on this and Ayo takes on two defenders but he is open for the corner 3. If he cuts he draws attention and Ayo could make the play or he passes to the corner after the defense collapses.
The play to make IMO is to stunt as if he is going to the basket and step back for the three. He freezes the defender and still gives Ayo two options to make a play.

  5. I don’t really like this post, it has so much variance.

If he cutes there, he looses passing lane and goes behind the defender, and Ayo couldnt lob because of the other defender behind in the paint…

He’s improving a lot, will improve faster if our fans stop hating.

  6. It’s not surprising that reaching for a pick that barely played on his college team would result in some error prone play.
