Grace used to bang fat chicks to get out of a slump. Dude crushed it
I have this same photo. I got it at a signing he did at a Mall when he was playing in the early 90s. This was the first autograph I ever got. A Cleveland transplant to Chicago when I was eight in 89. After the strike in 94 and the Indians blowing it in 97, led me to breaking from baseball as a teenager. My girlfriend took me to my first Cubs game in 99, and that game was where Mark Grace collected his 2000th hit. I’ll never forget it. Pretty cool. I always treasured this photo.
Probably the best 1B defender I’ve ever seen
I watched a TON of Cubs games in his heyday. Smacked a lot of doubles too
LOL, just realized how old I am. So many WGN Cubs (and TBS Braves) games as a kid. I must have seen this batting stance about 1000 times.
Either Jody Davis or Keith Moreland.
Mark Grace
Was a great hitter. Lifetime over .300 and led the MLB in hits during the 1990s.
As a white sox fan who hates the cubs with every fiber of my being, Grace was the man and a lot of fun to watch.
