  1. I’ve moved on from Payton, if he can get us some good draft capital on the way out, he’s doing us a massive favor.

    I hope he keeps stirring the pot, imo he’s driving up his value.

  2. I agree with them, it’s very messy. I think as a fan I may have to start getting used the Saints being bad again. I just hate the idea of giving up a good 1st round pick to the eagles.

  4. I was a little pissed by it for this reason- that fuck traded up in that draft and HAD the opportunity to draft Lamar Jackson! We could have had the succession to Drew locked down.

    You wanted to coach him sooooo bad, whyyy didn’t you draft him when he was on the board??? Instead we are left with this bum Davenport and a bunch of bums at QB.

  5. I agree 100%. This whole buddy buddy relationship with Loomis and Gayle Benson really rubs me the wrong way when it’s perfectly clear that he quit on the team with years left on a contract in order to get leverage to coach elsewhere. The Super Bowl was 13 years ago, and we’re all grateful, but he and Loomis really fucked this team over in the last few years with questionable choices on draft day and manipulation of the salary cap. For him to simply quit on the team while still under contract after putting himself in this mess really shows you the sort of character he has. Disappointing, to say the least.

  6. It’s no secret Sean didn’t want to coach here anymore. I think the only reason he stuck around at the end was because of how good the roster was

  9. I would be more pissed if he didn’t win us a super bowl. I know it was a while ago but there was so much hopelessness around the saints before he got there and I was one of the many that honestly didn’t think the saints would ever win a super bowl. It just didn’t seem possible. So he gets a lifetime pass for me
