We need to develop coaches who have appreciable future potential. That’s what Bill is trying to do. There will be growing pains, but the if it works out, the juice will hopefully be worth the squeeze.

I’d settle with promoting Billy Yates to full time OL Coach and then hiring a real OC

If we really appreciated what he did for this team we would without hesitation wish him “Bon Voyage” into retirement and leave him tf alone. Dude is 74 years old. It’s not his fault or his problem that Bill and his ego expected Matt Patricia to be able to act as a functional OLine coach AND functional OC without much real NFL-level experience doing either.
Why do people get so mad about stuff like this. If Scad hypothetically came out of retirement again it would be because he wanted to not because anyone somehow forced him or something lol
They just need an OL coach. They did so well last year.
