I asked this two weeks ago, I’m curious how answers may have changed since then … Right now if you were offered a deal that the Devils make the playoffs this year, but lose a competitive series in the first round, would you take it? Or would you roll the dice and hope for an even better outcome?

   Personally I think this team needs to experience consistent winning and success, and a playoff spot would be fucking invaluable this year no matter how the post season would turn out. In my opinion we don’t have the goaltending truly compete for a cup, and we may lack that “defensive game” that works better in the playoffs, but I just want the damn experience again. For myself and for the players, they need to get a taste of that. And to see what the team needs to tweak going forward to have playoff success.

    Vanacek should not have been left in, and that player should have gotten kicked from the game for skating directly though the crease.

39. I always get a little surge of the feels for a sec after every win. It’s crazy. We haven’t been streaking like this in a long time. I had like an 0-6 losing streak going to games…I’m 3-0 now this year.

    Really happy for Nico he’s probably just shitting his jorts with how great everything has been. Credited with the OT winner.

    Only thing I’d clean up is Jack has had 2 very bad games in a row. I know some wont like that said and I see the apples in the box score but I’ve kinda keyed in on him and he’s fighting it…just needs to keep making the simple play and work off that. Points will still come that way.
    Too much falling when things aren’t going his way. More turnovers than positive plays. He’s gonna fix it…but I’d like to see more mental toughness. If playoffs are a thing he’s gonna need to keep going when the possession game is frustrating and he fumbles a puck or two. Looking for a big game against the coyotes.

    Bahl should go in next game. He deserves a game. Not mad at Smith for his penalties but they do show that Bahl can step in and we’re not hurting ourselves or the winning streak. Gotta keep him game ready.

41. Great dub for the boys. I feel like here and there I’ve been seeing a lot of “jack has been struggling” I honestly don’t see it. Yeah he turns it over here and there but everytime he’s on the ice, he’s creating something and his handles of the puck are insane. A guy like that you want to be touching the puck a lot, which he does and he’s only human and will turn it over. I love his game. And I love the way this team is playing with eachother rn
