If Nimmo can/does play LF signing him will solve 2 problems we’re facing for next year: DH and LF (given Brantley doesn’t return). Allows Alvarez to DH (we saw the black hole we had at DH throughout the postseason) and Nimmo to take LF for majority of play. Also gives the bottom 3rd of our lineup some pop. I like the idea given he shouldn’t be as expensive as other options.

This was my dream FA acquisition. Makes me feel weird spending on free agents when we should be paying our home grown guys though no lie.
I don’t see us spending the money. We didn’t even offer Springer and Springer is better and probably less expensive. If we can get him for under 20 per year then sure, but I doubt he will come at that price.
Brantley in left, Nimmo in center, and Tucker in right with Alvarez playing DH full time. That’d be a killer outfield.
I like Nimmo a lot, seems like the kind of guy we need, hopefully he could play center, move Chas to LF and start Yordan at DH to save his knees

He fits the mold as a contact/OBP guy who limits K’s. I didn’t watch the Mets much so no clue about his D in CF. Love me some Chas but this would be an absolute upgrade.
You will lose a draft pick signing him… I doubt that will be a pick up we make.
