Quick 5 minute clip of Simms breaking down our miserable Lombardi-led offense

Does he address the fact that literally everyone is injured?
This.
I’m going to call Lombardi’s offense a “Whoop-de-doo” offense now.
He makes a great point about the batted balls. Herbert is too good at avoiding sacks, you’re better off trying to knock the ball down.
I mean, he’s right. We got one of the best arms in football and we’re throwing for a 1-5 yard gain almost every time.
At some point, we have to accept there is a problem. I get it, with the o-line and and WR we aren’t optimized for taking the shots downfield. But I also watched Philip Rivers with less mobility, a worse arm, worse WRs, worse O-line, but better play calling make a ton of defenses respect the deep game. You can scheme guys open, use trickery. It’s just not happening right now.
