For the life of me I can’t figure out why people still think we’d run the trap going on 20 years later. Was annoying in the 2012 cup run and is outright outlandish now.

Don’t know about y’all, but I remember when Deadspin was relevant. Back before the new vulture capitalist overlords took over and ran all of the quality writers out of town. I never check Deadspin anymore, and greatly prefer its successor Defector.
That said, this clown retains all of the snark of the old Deadspin with absolutely none of the charm. While trying to deliver a backhanded compliment in a comical fashion, all he does is expose his own Chicago homer-ism while shitting on the town, the state, and the franchise
One more reason I’m devouring this teams start like Thanksgiving dinner.
What the author lacks in hockey knowledge and charm, he more than makes up for with confidence in his overwritten bitching. Kind of a bummer this guy gets paid to write about hockey. But at least it’s only deadspin.
Good. The hate makes it more fun. Underdog status is best status. Enjoy it while it lasts.
