Should the Chiefs put in a claim for DT Jerry Tillery?

Apparently he’s pretty terrible but there’s not really any downside, we are thin at the position
Edit: PFF is not the gospel blah blah blah, but he has a better PFF grade (61.4) than both Saunders (60.3) and Nnadi (30.6)
What would we be on the hook for? A million, if I’m reading Sportrac correctly? I dunno, Jett Peach does love his former 1st rounders, but everyone says he’s terrible.

Veach loves his washed out 1st rounders. Pretty low risk I suppose.
We are near the bottom for waiver claim. I highly doubt no one will pick him up.

At first I’d say yes but the more I hear charger fans describe him the more I don’twant him around anyone lol. Every last person seems to say this ” if not trying was a person”
Do it. Low risk, but if he is relevant on the CHiefs then Chargers fans will lose their minds and that is absolutely worth it.
Could always use depth. Hell, sometimes just being in a winning culture brings new life to these guys. Think back to when Suggs joined. Ravens fans told he was used up but he was a major contributor to our Super Bowl run.

We don’t have much DT depth after Wharton went down.Wouldnt mind picking him up for a low contract.
I doubt they would let him fall to us via waiver tho

I’d say no. Yes he was compared to the next Chris Jones coming out but how are these first round retreads working out? Have any of them been more than roster fodder?
