  1. Probably not. We haven’t even seen how GP2 plays with us yet, so I would have to watch them all play together before I could make a definite decision. But most likely no trade.

  2. Maybe? We seem to be doing very well defensively without GP2

Wiseman is obviously not good right now and might never be but it’d be a high upside trade

I’d probably want to see how GP2 fits in first though

  3. On the one hand, securing a center to develop behind Nurkic would be fantastic.

On the other hand, Wiseman is not good right now and it’s looking unlikely that he’ll ever be a starting center. Also GP2 is actually good.

Portland has little reason to covet this deal so the bit about asking for picks from the Blazers is delusional.

  4. Wiseman will be a good player in the future but just looking at where he is at defensivly I believe he’ll only be a rotation level player next year, and frankly drew looks like a better player right now

  5. If wiseman was on a team that had terrible or questionable coaching, possibly just for the belief that CB could put him into our system and thrive. But he has great coaching and leadership and he isn’t coming together. Hell no.

  6. I would do it as a move to stow a high ceiling prospect for the future after seeing how the team has played defensively without GP2. Not a “help us right now” move but Wiseman is still young and could be a part of a Grant/Simons/Sharpe core down the line.

  7. The article here even suggests that Portland would need to cough up a protected 1st to get this deal for Wiseman.

So ask yourself, why would any organization target and sign a player that was brought in for a very specific reason, only to then turn around and jettison that player PLUS DRAFT CAPITAL, back to the team they signed him away from for a player we don’t really need or want?

This is yet another trade proposal written by someone who may be experiencing a lack of oxygen to their brain. Sadly, it’s not the dumbest one I’ve seen… not even close.

  8. I’d do it immediately. Wiseman isn’t a good fit for the warriors and I’d take him to pair with ant and shaedon for the future.

  9. Lol that article is funny. They came to the conclusion that their guy isn’t worth trading, ignoring that we also think their guy is garbage.

  10. I like how they are suggesting that Wiseman is a mistake, but the Blazers should also include a first round pick when giving GP2 back to the Warriors for Wiseman.

  11. If gsw is willing to make this trade . . . Then no. If they are not willing then yes.

  12. Lol why would we trade an asset to a contender to make them even better.
They may not have a great record right now but it’s a sleeping giant.

  13. If they want to throw us their pick maybe, Eubanks is cooking so I don’t see the reason to do this

  14. Cronin would laugh Bob Meyers out of the room. Even Bob Meyers knows not to bring this nonsense to the table

  15. No chance this would ever happen but I think its interesting. Would be curious to see how Wiseman would develop under Chauncey and without the pressure of being in Golden State. I think GP2 is going to be really freaking good for us but having a potential stud prospect at Center is compelling. Simons-Sharpe-Nas-Jabari-Wiseman/Watford is a fun core

  16. Not until we see this squad with GP2/Hart/Winslow combined perimeter defense. I personally feel like GP2 is gonna be worth the wait…

  17. Why would we make a trade to improve the GSW? I’d rather keep GP2 and never let him play than trade him to the warriors and fill in an obvious gap in their crew.
