  1. This is a bummer. You talk about a great clubhouse guy, Suter is the definition of that. Best of luck to him in Colorado.

  2. This one hurts. I knew there was a great chance he wasn’t tendered at 3m, but it still sucks to see him go

  3. Rockies FO noticed how he shut them down through multiple innings in extras last year and was like “we need this guy”.

We will all miss you Raptor!

  4. Honestly I know he wasn’t a good player, but you need those clubhouse guys even if they’re not that good. We got rid of Hader and now we get rid of possibly the biggest clubhouse guy? Not looking good for team chemistry next season

  5. I’ll miss the person a lot more than the pitcher but I do respect him for getting the most out of his stuff. A throwback to pitchers who won the mental battle.

  6. First thought is the Brewers intended to bring him back assuming he cleared waivers rather than non-tendering him. He would’ve been due just north of $3M in arbitration and could’ve been brought back cheaper. Apparently Colorado sees something in him, best of luck to Brent.

Edit: Poor bastard’s service clock sits at 5.162, ten days short of free agency. 😅

  7. Suter’s probably not thrilled about this. He’s a great clubhouse guy, but from a FO perspective he’s probably a squeaky wheel. Constantly working on behalf of the players. I’m going to miss him dearly 🙁

  8. As a brewer fan that has since moved to Colorado (only rooting for the Rockies when I just want to go see a game in a stadium) this is the best case scenario for me. Will be sad not seeing him as a brewer though.

  9. This sucks. I was really hoping he’d spend his whole career here. I love watching that guy play. And seeing him goof around in the dugout.

  10. There are guys that provide much more than just their stats. Suter was one; this move really ticks me off. I feel like we’re back to the Selig-Sal Bando/Paul Molitor days.

Like paying Suter $3.1mm was going to bankrupt the club. They’ll pay somebody else close to that number and get much less from them.

    Crud.

  11. This one hurts a lot. Always loved Suter. His energy was contagious and was a fantastic locker room guy. Thanks for countless memories. Wish you all the best raptor!
