  1. Marte got MVP votes. McNeil is the league leader in hitting. Canha is a very good player. Guess it checks out.

  2. Well they have McNeil in LF. McNeil is fine in LF and just won a batting title. So between him, Marte and Canha, that was probably like 14 WAR or something last year. So yeah, that would be really good. Still want Nimmo back though.

  3. After what Trent Grisham did to the Mets in the Wild Card (without Tatis Jr.), to me San Diego’s OF is clearly better. This ranking is based on last year. The Mets have a very good OF (even without Nimmo) but even Tatis not on roids combined with Soto going back to even hitting .250 is the best in my opinion. Don’t sleep on Seattle with Teoscar, Atlanta if they add a corner OF either, and Houston if their CF takes a step forward. The Mets OF have a good floor but limited upside.

  4. Is this offense only? Because there is no way the Sillies with Schwarber out there can be #5. Fuck Chase Utley.

  5. Hot take: If one of the all star SS on the market are willing to move to 2B, the Mets are better off going that route than splurging on Nimmo.
