Jenner getting hooked, not getting the penalty shot, then scoring on the PP anyway was the most cathartic moment I’ve seen yet this season.

Fun fact, the Panthers broadcast claimed early in the third that Gaudreau had been a non-factor tonight. Funny, that.
DISREGARD BEDARD
Special teams and excellent goaltending stole us the game. After how our season has been, that is something worth calling off work and getting hammered about.

Tarasov’s English is excellent.
As abjectly miserable as the start of the season was and as completely hamstrung by injuries the team has been, they are all of 4 points behind the Pens and just 2 behind the Caps (with 2 games in hand). And only 7 points out of a playoff position. It’s almost impossible to believe.
Not that I have any pretenses of this team being a playoff team, of course. That just isn’t going to happen with this blue line. But it’s nice to see them clawing their way out of the hole they dug.
