I’d rather be 7-3 than 3-7 and have none of this top 5 bullshit!
That’s because we should be 7-3 had our defense held our leads and the offense wasn’t stagnant in the second half of those games.
Defense and our depth sucks.

As of right now we have 5 all pro contenders
DE- Maxx
WR- Tae
P- Cole
K- DC (even after the miss)
RB- Jacobs
Mcdaniels is a good OC still waiting on to see if he can be a HC
imagine if our defense could protect 17 point leads
If you want to improve the roster elsewhere you need to cut the ties around your wrist.
Who’s going? Not Adams, not Crosby, not Miller and likely not Jones.
That leaves Carr, Renfrow, and Waller, and if you truly want to improve the roster, someone needs to go.
Between Carr, Adams, Waller, Renfrow, and Miller the Raiders have nearly $100M tied up. Crosby and Jones are another $40M.
$140M tied up between 7 players with a cap of $226M. After including special teams the Raiders are left with $79M to spread across 44 roster spots.
Someone needs to go or the raiders at best will improve moderately while they wait on draft picks to develop and limited free agent flexibility.

Honestly though I think if we give McDaniels time to develop we can be right there with them. It’s only his first year and games have been close even with injuries. Our defense has definitely been the bigger issue.
Sometimes the ball bounces your way(2016, 2021) and sometimes it doesn’t(2022). You can go through a 6 of the 7 losses and probably pinpoint 1 play that costs the team the game. It is what it is.
Tyreek is a renaissance man. Not only can he beat the piss out of pregnant women, and break the arms of his children… the man can also run. What a talent.
