  1. Josh Hart needs to shoot the damn ball. I know he works his ass off on defense and rebounding…but he has to stop the extra pass to Winslow and just shoot it himself

  2. I think keon has been suprisingly missed, he’s a good defender and they could use him off the bench. I’m ready for GP to start playing as well. The one thing this team needs to be consistent at is defense, and it hasn’t been lately. Granted they just played 2 of the best teams in the league.

This is probably the third time I’ve said I’m not too worried about Ant’s turnovers, but it might be the last. He needs to clean that shit up.

I said it earlier in the week, it’s a long season, but a long losing streak is never good. Hopefully they can get back to winning sooner than later.

  3. We will be fine. Lots of correctable stuff on defense so I’m not worried.

Imo, Ant isn’t what was advertised. He’s got good overall stats for the season but him as the floor general/initiator isn’t there. He needs to be more score first early in a game, he takes too long to get going and can disappear a lot.

Offense generally needs more flow/rhythm. The fast break, always get to the paint style worked early in the season but teams have adjusted and we don’t have a counter to it. We pass up a lot of open threes instead of taking what the defense is giving us.

  4. These guys make more turnovers than my local bakery. That’s their #1 problem. It comes with the territory of playing with pace, coupled with the fact that aside from Dame, there is not a very good PnR initiator / half-court offense director.

Clean up the turnovers and the outcome of the games will change.

  5. one thing i noticed from ant is that he seems to have two modes:

    chuck a 3

hardcore drive for a lay or sling pass

what i saw from darius garland that he needs to pick up:

that slow push into the paint, drawing defenders on his hips. giving space for others to grab points.

    why don’t we do this?

  6. Go blazers! I maintain optimism. We’ve seen some great things from this team early in the season. When they execute the best of their good play, they are as good as any team on the court. When they don’t, obviously they falter.

They have the tools, and now just need consistency. I can’t say the same for the last bunch of years.

It will be fun to look back on all these reactionary takes in March and April.

  7. I’m trying to stay optimistic. This next game is a must win. If Ant can PLEASE start off the first half playing well, Hart actually shoots his open threes, and we don’t ice out Sharpe and Jerami, things might look better. Our defense these past few games has been okay to say the least, but the only concerning things are our offense and turnovers. If we can fix that up we’ll good while Dame rests.

  8. It’s interesting to see all the backlash for Ant. Can’t say a lot of us didn’t see this coming. The reality is we paid him off of 1 great month where the season was already gone along with our superstar.

In saying that, I’m confident he’ll figure it out – he has shown growth this season. But I hope people can start to see how good CJ was. At the end of the day, when we needed to switcch the system CJ is the one who adjusted.

  9. Josh Hart has made it very easy to trade him at the deadline. Can’t believe the guy dropped 44 in a game last season. Such a solid skill set but 100% role player mentality.

I hope we can get 1 more reliable wing or a big that gets easy buckets. Ayton would be real nice.
