  1. Shayna Goldman in the Athletic had us as a bubble team and mild sellers at the deadline. I think mild sellers more from a lack of organizational depth than actual need to tear it down.

    I think we’re on the in side of the bubble on our current path. I agree we’re not in a place to be buyers cause we can’t afford to give away assets. I think the best case is for us to be “holders”.

    National writers don’t have the time or attention to be finger on the pulse about a dramatically changing team like ours though (totally fair). You’re slowly seeing the national conversation shift in the last week or two, about how maybe Seattle is legit. Ian Mendes took a few minutes out of Monday’s Athletic Hockey Show to shout out Dave Hakstol for how well things are suddenly progressing here.

    Anyway, the national conversation is starting to shift and I’m here for it.
