4. Dude, talk about an heirloom! If I was you I would get this preserved in some acid free backing paper and frame it, keeping it in a low light area where you can enjoy it.

9. “Advanced stats” aren’t new. Branch Rickey, yes that Branch Rickey, came up with a SABRmetric-like formula. This is another early example. Very cool.

17. This is fantastic….he was ahead of his time! Did you happen to know your grandfather well? I was lucky enough to have my baseball-loving grandfather in my life until I was 40 (2018). As a white kid from Vermont in the 40’s (which was probably 99.9% white then), his hero growing up was Jackie Robinson.
