Jerry has been quietly cooking this year

No player has been more efficient against man coverage since 2015, than 2022 Jerry Jeudy. Not to mention he’s doing so with one of the least competent offenses of that stretch.

  1. So basically he is good at getting open. We know that; the problem is that it’s the only thing he is good at. He has a big time drops problem, he doesn’t put in any extra effort to make contested catches or grab balls that aren’t perfectly thrown, and he doesn’t have game breaking speed like Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle. Our incompetent play calling does him no favors, but coming out of the draft, Jeudy was supposed to be the type of receiver that can elevate any offense, play calling be damned, and he just hasn’t been even close to that level.

  2. I just don’t think he sees Denver as his home. He’s cutting his teeth here, bite down elsewhere I suppose.

  3. Still funny to see this sub tear him apart for hands but stay quiet watching Sutton drop the ball continuously every week

  4. I find it interesting that despite having a WR room that is arguably near the top in potential is so often the most underwhelming group in the NFL. I have no idea how Zach Azzani has a job?

  5. Manufacturing a stat to feel better about the Bronco offense.. I am pretty sure you can find a category Russ leads the NFL in.

  6. I honestly still have high hopes for him. Denver just has a lot of WR2s. We need a WR1 that demands double/triple teaming so the WR2 and slot can flourish. OL would be nice too.

  7. Ah man broncos fans are funny. The amount of people just dismissing this as a fake stat or pointless is hilarious. It’s simply yards per route against man. People have complained about his routes looking good and not producing for years, now all of a sudden he’s actually producing against man coverage and now people want to say their eyes don’t agree. The great thing is we can see stats and interpret them – and this one makes perfect sense for the type of player Jeudy is. Now some people have asked, “if he’s so good, why don’t his number line up?”. 1. His numbers from the 7 games he didn’t get injured in have him at 70 receptions, 1063 yards, and 7 TDs per 17 games. So he is producing. But 2. Teams play man coverage against the broncos at the 2nd lowest rate in the NFL and it is true he’s not as effective against zone vs man cause of what his best abilities are. Now why would they play man at a low rate against the Broncos? The simple answer is they have Jerry Jeudy who is amazing against man. Stats aren’t so fake if you actually think

  8. He makes, maybe 2-3 catches per game then disappears for quarters at time. This happens mainly because he’s working so hard to run the best route ever that when he finally finishes the route he forgets he needs to turn and catch the ball instead of celebrating his route or posting how great he is on IG.

Only slightly joking here. Jerry is not a difference maker and his attitude can be very divisive. He’s underperformed considering his draft position. He can’t seem to stay healthy, which isn’t entirely his fault but it just doesn’t seem like he’s more than a below average WR2 production wise. It is unclear if this will change and he really begins to focus on being the very best or is just going through the motions. As of right now his production and skill are easily replaced by the next draft class.
