Everything to Know About Kodai Senga (We should absolutely be interested in him as our fifth starter)

We have plenty of pitchers that are already established and work fine, hunter brown is the only one who needs to still prove themselves and he makes 5 if JV leaves
I’ve seen this guy pitch in the Japanese league. I think the American press is underselling how effective he’ll be over here. Having said that, he’d be a luxury item for the Astros (and won’t come cheap).
Isn’t there a worry of the different sized balls used between mlb and Japan leagues?
I’m good with our staff. Give me a centerfielder who can hit .280 with 25 bombs, and a first baseman who can hit .275 with 30, and I’m satisfied going into 2023.
Astros haven’t ever gotten a Japanese player except for the one with anal fizzures.
Sorry OP, but your headline is ridiculous. The Astros should only be paying big money for a SP unless he is projected as our #2 or maybe #3 starter. And given who we already have, that is a tall order
Pass. A starting pitcher is the least of our needs.
He’s going to be paid to be an ace for someone who would be our 3/4/5 guy. Not worth it.
Yeah I’ve heard the “invented a new pitch” thing before. It did not go well for daisuke matsuzaka.
