Even if 1 of those guys turn out to be a big leaguer who preforms well and contributes to wins in the future, then it was a solid move. The A’s were losing 90+ games with or without Montas in ’22
What if 2 of them make it? Then trade looks really, really good. What if 3 (or all) make it? I’ll become a Forst fanboy (provided he doesn’t make any stupid moves to offset the steadily increasing admiration)
So the odds are on our side. Ultimately time will tell
