This has to be one of the worst proposed trades I have ever seen. Why would the Nuggets ever do this?

  1. Not saying I’d do this trade but the logic is

Pöltl is better than green and those other 2 won’t be in the rotation when it counts in the playoffs.

  2. Yeah I agree, we didn’t give up nearly enough for Poeltl in this. Throw in Bones and 3 unprotected firsts and it’ll actually be a fair trade

  3. Thank fuck, I saw the graphic first and thought it was official before I saw your headline for the post

  4. I don’t think this is particularly lopsided in the Spurs favor at all.

Poeltl is really good defensively, but I don’t think I’d make this trade simply because I don’t like the idea of Jokic or Poeltl playing the 4 and Poeltl is too good to be limited to 15MPG backing up Jokic.

In a vacuum though, if we were any other team, I do think Poeltl has more value than all three of those players though

  5. If we could resign poetl I’d consider it. But he would be a 5 month rental so we lose all 3 guys for nothing

  6. I’d honestly do it if it’s offered.
In reality how many minutes do you think Malone is giving those 3 guys come playoff time? Meanwhile Poetl would 100% get meaningful minutes in the playoffs.

  7. Honestly can’t think of a single trade proposal that would be worth losing the zeke freak

  8. Upgrade to backup PF/C now with the intention being win now. Good lord I hope if we were to do a win now trade we would be winnier nowier.

  9. I mean not really. You’re upgrading from Green to Poeltl essentially at the cost of Braun. Nnaji is barely an asset at this point as he’s not shown the ability to be a rotation player for a playoff team. Would I do it? No. Braun is not worth a backup center but it’s not like it’s a ridiculously lopsided deal that would get laughed out the room
