Swaim is Downing’s boy, going back to his days as TE Coach.
Also, what makes anyone think a TE coach is qualified to call plays for a playoff team?
Treylon Burks, Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook Ikhine, Dontrelle Hilliard, Chig Okonkwo, Austin Hooper, and Derrick Henry have all proved to be legitimate passing threats in different situations. Yet we pass to Geoff Swaim.

Having your best and most explosive pass catcher out blocking on a screen for far and away your least talented and least athletic tight end is just peak full Downing.

I really try and not root for someone to lose their job, but enough enough man. This is a competition sport, and he’s just not cutting it (hasn’t been since he was given the job)
Honestly why is Swaim even being used more than Chig? Okonkwo has showed he deserves to be getting more opportunities compared to Swaim, and yet we have to watch Swaim drop about every pass that comes his way…
The lack of accountability from Vrabel here is concerning. This shit obviously cant stand and if hes willing to give up on Caleb Farley so quick then he should have already given up on Todd Downing. By keeping him employed you tell your players that coaches are held to a lower standard as they(Downing) can be bad both off and on the field while expecting the players to be good on/off the field.
I said, aloud, in the lower bowl of the stadium today, “please God not Geoff fucking Swaim” at the exact second this photo was taken
