I mean, I’m just as excited as the next guy but I’m not convinced he’s better than Fitzmagic.
Surprised Favre didn’t do this. He was great before the bicep injury. Also Fitzmagic.
I saw that stat during the game and couldn’t believe it. 300/3 TD is a great game, sure… but no QB on the Jets has done it more than once in the last *thirty years*???
This is more depressing than anything.

Although my mom does have a picture of me and my dad wearing matching kelly green bootleg flea market Richard Todd jerseys, the first Jets QB I remember is O’Brien.
Put current starters from other teams like Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow and Tua there.. they will be way high up on that all time list. Another way to see how historically bad we have been at QB.
Darnold was so close. He had a game with 293 yards and 3 TDs.
Imagine telling someone in 2018 that the best QBs to come out of that draft class would be Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Mike White.
Would have loved to have been alive for the Dick Wood era. “Dick Wood forces it in” and “Dick Wood playing hard” and of course “Dick Wood slingin it” are just a few that write themselves.
Ken O’Brien was so good. Unfortunately, he has the misfortune of being drafted over Marino.

Darnold has gotten very close to this number many times, and had a decent amount of 3 TD games
I’m loving the way Mike White has played as well, but I doubt he’s able to put up entire seasons like Chad Pennington did in 2002, Testaverde in 98 or Fitzpatrick in 2015.
