The Red Wings have definitely improved with their special teams this year.
Kubalik on the PP has been huge. Tied for most PP goals and assists on the team.
I’ll be honest, my eyes immediately jumped to 32 and started scanning. Old habits die hard 🤷🏻♂️

Everyone is talking about how good PP1 has been, and they are definitely much better than last year, but I think the biggest difference is special teams is our PK and PP2 unit. Last year if the top power play didn’t score, the second unit was basically more likely to give up a goal than to score one. This year we have Hronek on a Hester, plus Bertuzzi and Raymond moved down to spread the scoring and Copp is an improvement even if he isn’t putting up points.

God poor ducks fans. Their team is absolute trash. I still cant believe we lost that game
It’s funny, if you just take our 5v5 stats we would be just around the same place as last year. But man, you take a look at our power play and penalty kill and you can see why we are fighting for playoffs.
