  1. Seriously, how good is Tage Thompson? The only player of his size I can think of whose skating, stickhandling and finishing ability were better is Mario Lemieux (and while obviously Thompson isn't on THAT level, he's still an absolute beast). That line of Skinner-Thompson-Tuch (along with Cozens, Peterka, Quinn etc.) doesn't just make the Sabres more fun to watch, it's a glimpse of serious potential for a bright future lying ahead.

  2. Really hard to rank these goals, all so special… as a fan going back to 70s & 80s, this version of the NHL is light years ahead of what it once was. We all loved the fights, but thank you NHL for banishing the goons. No place for skilled players being head hunted the way they once were. Gone is the senseless head shots, knee chops, clutching and grabbing… League is fast and furious now, a joy to watch.
