  1. Neat. But why keep the stands and why get rid of the Jumbotron? They could have had some epic block party movie nights

  2. Looks like this stadium was demolished in ‘98 and that this was simply a display/expo of model homes. Pretty cool image nonetheless

  3. Would be such a cool place to live TBH. Add a corner store and a pharmacy and you have a nice little enclave.

  4. There was a proposal to convert old Tiger Stadium in Detroit into something similar to this, with the stands being replaced by multi-level apartments with the actual “field” becoming a park/farmer’s market.

    In the end, something *like* that kinda happened with “The Corner” apartment homes, but that didn’t happen until after they had torn the ballpark down.

    A shame. While building lodging into an existing baseball stadium is almost certainly unfeasible, this reminds me that it would’ve been pretty damn cool.
