Does this mean he’s signing in Montreal in 2024?

However, I don’t think sponsorship dictates whether or not he stays. This deal is probably super lucrative for the remainder of this year and next, and then expires.
That said, he obviously has more sponsorship opportunity staying in Toronto. It’s a question as to whether or not that matters to him.

People have to be careful not to read more into this then there actually is. I certainly hope he stays but this doesn’t guarantee anything. A lot can happen between now and when contract negotiations actually start.
I wonder how long it’s for?
If it’s for several years, I highly doubt the RBC want to sponsor an American athlete playing for an American team.
One would assume the brass of RBC asked him straight up if he intends to stay in Canada (Toronto) beyond the end of his current deal.
