  1. Can you believe we tolerated like 45-50+ losses a year? I’ve become accustomed to winning LOL and it’s only happened 4 times this year.

  2. Probably lost that game because of decision making and consistency. It’ll happen with young teams and is to be expected a couple times. We got a learning lesson at half price so don’t let it ruin your night! Onto Philthy Saturday for a 6-2 win

  3. Awesome, you decide to lose last minute and be the only loss on my 700$ parlay. Thanks Devils, much love!

  4. These games happen and they know how sloppy that was.

Honestly if Yegor didn’t try to do to much in the beginning of OT while entering the offensive zone, we probably wouldn’t have lost possession.

They’ve experienced this enough in the past to learn from it. Move on and execute next game.

  5. Man there are some bad tales here.

The devils completely outplayed them. Saros was great and the devils lost concentration a few times. Can’t be having the first shift we had because you can’t expect to overcome that but Jesus.

The team is 19-4-1. Second best record (points % wise) in the league. Get a grip.

  6. Devils are still the better team. You win some and lose some. Better than a blow out.

Now lets have the Patriots lose.

  7. eh, the late collapse sucks but since they were 19-4 coming into this game I am incapable of being upset lol

  8. Loss sucks, but learn from it and be ready to get revenge back in Nashville on 1/26 (also because I spent up to get nice seats and I’d like to see my Devils win please).

Also weird stat continues where Nashville hasn’t lost in New Jersey since March 2015.

  9. The positive is that we used to have 4-5 of these kind of losses a month and this is our 1st one this season. I think last year we had like 3 in week.

  10. I’m confident they hold themselves to a better standard than that one. Bratt hated that one coming off the ice and I love his general attitude. We’re not going back to games like that.

But the winning we’re doing doesn’t excuse that from Hamilton/Nico/Shara. You give up inch and suddenly you’re not world beaters anymore. Goalies might have a few off games. Can’t let up.

The bad breakaways we’re not a good trend from last year. That puck didn’t roll on Nico…that’s gotta be a better attempt. Happens…but need better than five hole backhands.

I also think we missed the forechecking change up we get from that BMW line. But we just gotta pull that one out. We don’t want any dramatic losses to ruin the Mo’.

  11. Let’s hope the team takes their collective frustration out on the shitbag Flyers Saturday night in their own barn. Torts will try to have them goon it up, but we’re going to skill it up instead.

  12. I really hated how they played to end that game. Essentially punting the PP and playing conservative was just absolutely baffling when they dominated on the PP all night. Just finish strong. At no point this year has it felt like they played not to lose rather than win and tonight it did and I don’t get it.

  13. This is my outlook now

Need to get a big body or keep Wood and Palat healthy

Can’t start each game down two

That shit won’t fly in postseason

  14. Ruff just said he felt the PP at the end was too conservative. Then why the fuck did you guys throw out a second dman one that’s known for his defense not his fucking offense?

  15. Wood was out with illness. Schmid earlier in the week. Maybe there’s a bug going through the team to explain some sluggishness. Still, Nashville got hyper lucky on the tying goal. Losing a game while 8 seconds away from winning it hurts, especially to an average team like Nashville.

  16. Over the course of the season you will lose to teams you shouldn’t and beat teams that you have no business beating. It happens. We lost and still got a point.

  17. Bad call from Ralph pairing saregovich with Nico in overtime should have been to tar or bratt

  18. This feels like the kind of loss we need to go through to keep us focused and getting prepared for the playoffs.

  19. This was a good lesson that there are a lot of hungry teams and slowing down for even 10 seconds is risky. Need the pedal to the metal every game, every period. It felt like a strangely productive loss to me, like one that makes us even better.

  20. This is one of those lesson learners. We played really good then got a little safe towards the end. We still played great and should be a good kick to keep us motivated

  21. If anything, tonight showed how important wood and Bastian are. Love Zetterlund and Shango, but they aren’t 4th line players. You need guys like wood and Bastian to do the dirty work in the corners. Even Palat can fill that role in the top 9 when he returns.
