What a forgettable season this is shaping up to be.
our FO has historically just been lucky to hit the lottery and got dirk, who was a saint to put up with this BS and even take paycut to try and win. Luka is not dirk, he is more talented and he expects more. We been fucking up since the moment we got him. Realistically we can’t do anything meaningful until the end of NEXT SEASON!!!
I know most of yall dont wanna hear it, but actually shutting down luka and tanking this year for an elite prospect is the best move forward, cuz there is nothing we can do.
Luka will sign with the Miami Heat, and Dallas media will say it’s because fans on Twitter were mean, not that the people making basketball decisions were batting .025 lifetime. Dirk ran the cartilage out of his legs putting an entire city on his back and Mark Cuban said “Here’s Chris Kaman and OJ Mayo.” They have no trade assets, and even if they had cap space, two decades of history has shown us they won’t use it well, or at all. I would love, absolutely cherish to be proven wrong, and see the Mavericks make a bunch of savvy moves, they just have never done anything to inspire that confidence.
Brunson leaving was apocalyptic and everybody is just now realizing it
Dallas did not “misjudge” the market for JB. They made a business decision to not resign JB in case of a possible blockbuster trade, then the Knicks decided to tamper and JB lied his ass off through the playoffs saying he had no intention of going elsewhere. I’m tired of no one talking about the tampering because that’s also a major reason he left.

well, Green would have been my Brunson replacement, and the goal should been a top 3/top 5 defense.
Bucks are 17th on offense (look at their record), Mavs 10th.
And Hardy should have gotten 10 of Green minutes to bring him along. The other 10 going to Frank.
Biggest problem is that the defense is nowhere to be found despite losing Brunson. 1 season defensive wonder.
Luka looks like Trae Young every time the Mavs play a lottery team. And then Kidd pairs him SD/THJ and Wood. Sometimes all at once. The defense looks as expected.

Is funny seeing the comments of people that completly eat up Cuban lies about Brusnon. The knicks offered more money than us, is that simple. Cuban didn’t want to go into the luxury for a conference finals team. ”Brunson didn’t even let us make him an offer” is the peak of Cuban excuses, if you had a better offer than the Knicks at any point in the season or even after the conference finals he could’ve told Brunson, but he waited until there was a better offer on the table to try and convince Brunson
