Phil Perry describes a horrifying scenario… from Patriots

  1. If this happens I will lose all faith in Bill. I was willing to give Bill the benefit of the doubt, but Matt Patricia has been an unmitigated disaster and everyone can see it. Opposing teams know what we are going to run, Patricia’s playcalling never adjusts, and it seems the players simply don’t like the guy.

  2. I guarantee you Kraft would fire Bill before he let’s him keep Matt on payroll next year.

  3. I don’t buy it. If true then that would mean there’s no incentive to be a coach on the staff because you’ll never get a DC or OC promotion. I don’t see bill doing this BUT I’m also not ruling it out that Patricia is here to stay

  4. So the plan is to bring in coaches who suck so bad nobody will want them, then keep them because nobody wants to hire them. Brilliant!

  5. lmao what? “Let’s have an offensive coordinator so bad nobody else wants to hire him!”? If that’s what Bill is thinking he’s officially gone senile.

  6. “I want coordinators that are so bad that no other team will ever want to hire them” is a wild strategy.

  7. Number 1 patricia has already proven he will leave, so if he is successful here he will leave if he gets another HC offer.

    Number 2 fuck patricia.

  8. We’ve never had this problem of constant coaching loss year after year until recently, and it’s sure as hell not going to happen again unless we are a Super Bowl team again. People poach coaches from contenders, and the Pats are not that, so we should care more about bringing in the best available candidate we can.

I cannot believe for one second that Bill is making these decisions out of fear we lose a good coordinator in a year or two.

  9. If this is true it’s a fireable offense by Bill. ruining your team because you’re too lazy to deal with new coordinators every couple years? Better off just sucking until he gets that Shula record bc that’s what the patriots are playing for while everyone else wants super bowls

  10. If that’s the case, and Fatty P is back as OC next year then just go ahead and fire BB now.

  11. You delete this satanic video right now, do you hear me.
Jokes aside if this is actually the plan I’m actually giving up on this team if this is our strategy now

  12. Use weaponized incompetence so we don’t have to replace a coordinator every few years. If that’s actually’s Bill’s plan, have him checked out for dementia please

  13. Nick Caley is leaving BECAUSE of that, so that would be idiotic if that really was what belichick thought he was doing. Caley refused to sign an extension because belichick brought in Patricia instead of promoting him. If belichick won’t fire Patricia and judge, Kraft has to step in like he did with the draft. This cannot happen again next year.

  14. I’m not gonna let some professional commentator rile me up. I’m not gonna let some professional commentator rile me up. I’m not gonna let some professional commentator rile me up. I’m not gonna let some professional commentator rile me up. I’m not gonna let some professional commentator rile me up. I’m not gonna let some professional commentator rile me up.

  15. This might be the stupidest scenario I think I’ve ever heard and I’ve heard the media make up some really stupid shit.

  16. Either elevate the guy you blocked from being the OC for the Raiders or hire Wes next offseason. If either fails, in a season or two hire McDaniels who will get fired in a year or two.

  17. Don’t think this will happen, but if Patricia is the OC moving forward after this year, I’m out. I won’t watch a game while he’s coaching the offense.

  18. Would BB really do that on the doorstep of the all time win record? God i hope not assuming he is re evaluating now and ready to make a move but i could be 100% wrong

  19. This is nonsense.

Bill doesn’t care about losing coordinators anymore than losing players. He likely didn’t feel the other guy was ready or the Krafts told him he needed find a reason to keep those two clowns he brought back. His solution, bred out of arrogance that he can make anything work, was to put them on the offensive side of the ball.

If they miss the playoffs this year, which appears to be what will happen, he will make some changes.

  20. I recognized this as the reason a month ago. He wants continuity and thinks not having continuity ruins a young QB, and this was the best way to ensure Mac is learning his second offense this year and not another one next year. It makes no sense any other way. This was always a long term plan…
