Please correct me if I’m wrong, but Bally sports wants me to pay $25 to only get canes and predators games? I have ESPN+ but I get so tired of the canes not always being on there.

  1. Yes. I guess there are people who only have cable to watch their team, so $26 a month would be a bargain to them compared to cable. So apparently that’s their target market with this

And lucky you for getting all those teams, my zipcode would only get the Canes and Hornets for the same price

  2. Is there a consensus for best way to watch the games? Preferably on the cheap in a way that lets me listen to Tripp instead of the away hosts?

  3. i would say 95% of the canes games are on espn+ (only ones that arent are the ones on nhlnetwork or tnt)

or are they there but blacked out for you?

  4. Why are people so cheap? Just buy it if you want to watch the games. How much does it cost to go to the game vs the app? That’s the bargain. I’m not a high roller but I can afford 25/mo to watch hockey! The same people who complain about this also complain about people buying cheap knock off jerseys! Beggars can’t be choosers.

Here come all the negative replies and “experts”…..

  5. ExpressVPN. Use it on your Smart TV or on Amazon Prime, then open the ESPN+ app. Just be sure to pick your VPN hosting outside of the two broadcasting black-out areas.

  6. I almost made the switch from ESPN+ to Bally at the beginning of the season, but decided to wait.

I’m glad I did, every 3 or 4 games it seems like I see a thread about something being screwed up on Bally and people with that service can’t watch the game.

Also not sure how long Bally will be around at all with all the bankruptcy talks. Last I read, they will go belly up unless the NHL and the MLB bail them out.
