8. Absolutely love this one. Knew he wasn’t going to resign with Astros and went to a NY team that I actually like. Thank you Mr. Verlander for not signing with the Dodger dogs and the NY rats. Teams that think every other organization in MLB is their personal farm team. Can’t wait to see him with Scherzer again. To bad Dombrowski blew that Tigers team apart or they would possibly have had a chance to win a WS by just shoring up their BP.

JV is already aged, besides all he’s done and accomplished, Houston will be just as good without him, honestly a great move by adding Abreu and not wasting unnecessary money on keeping JV when the Astros pitching rotation is just getting stronger, Goodluck to JV in the NL

40. I am a big fan of Justin Verlander but I think the timing from a pure "future production/$$$ the cost $$$" perspective that this is amazingly the obviously correct decision by the front office. Missing JV's presence in the clubhouse is the only aspect of letting him walk that gives me even the slightest bit of pause.

    Needless to say, Justin will never have the need to pay for a drink anywhere in Houston ever again even when he is visiting with the Metropolitans.

    This is all assuming that the $$$ saved here will make it's way back on to the payroll in another form and not just go into Jim Crane's pocket.
