Who I want and who would realistically take the job are not going to be congruent.
My best answer? You call Eric Bienemy and profusely apologize for wasting a day of his time earlier this year, and then ask him if he’s still interested.

Y’all have to understand, we’re only going to be able to get a coach that’s not afraid to go through a rebuild, then at the same time.. if he sucks, and we will be very bad. Management might fire him. It’s gonna be bad for a long time if I know anything about the Saints.
Nah and he has no interest in coming back to the NFL. Remember when he was on the hot seat and he turned down a handful of NFL jobs he was linked to?

Change the “If” in the title to “Since”
I wouldn’t mind Frank Reich or Jim Caldwell from the pool of candidates with HC experience. Outside of them, I like Ken Dorsey, the Bills OC. And hey, why not give Kellen Moore a call? The last time we hired an up-and-coming offensive coach from Dallas, it turned out alright.
I don’t want Bieniemy. He’s got too much baggage and with Pete Carmichael sucking hard this year, I’m not interested in another OC who’s only been successful under a great offensive HC with a HOF QB.
Hear me out…Dennis Allen. We gotta let this absolute waste of space coach next year. We’ll all suffer greatly but it might just be worth it. We’ll go into the 2024 season with a high first round pick. We’ll get outta some of these awful contracts and clear up some cap space. Then we’ll be a semi-attractive destination for a good coach.
Kellen Moore. After the Cowboys choke in the playoffs, we trade Payton for Kellen Moore and 2 1st round picks. Let’s see if we can strike gold with another Cowboys OC as our HC.
Take a risk on DeMoco Ryans and hire Frank Reich as offensive coordinator
