  1. – We won't see a 800+ goalscorer for a long time, definitely from no one else currently in the show. A rookie needs to come out swinging with 50+ goals rookie year then do it consistently and stay durable much like Ovi has been. Ovechkin has never had to worry about players around him getting faster, and him getting slower. He is the only guy in history that can continue to score the most anticipated shot in any professional sport. This alone makes Ovi the best goalscorer of all time and 4th in all-time hits. Most unique top scorer of all time based on his very different skill set.
    – For players like mcdavid, he won't be able to keep up what he's doing because his game is too much based on speed and being 2 steps ahead of everyone else. He's superhuman, but much like gretzky he will most likely die down to less than 30 goals a year once he hits 30yo.
-Matthews is too much like crosby, not durable enough for the long haul. I'm surprised that crosby is still able to play at the level he is though, and think he is actually the best overall player of all time since he can do anything, and he even has niche montages about him for puck protection, edge work, etc. These niche montages are almost unheard of for any other player other than mcdavid.
