  1. If we're gonna be in more shoot outs then we gotta work on them bc these past two have not been good showings. But a point is a point I'm not gonna complain about that.

  2. As a Rangers fan this is kinda how the Isles beat us. We were able to put up 40+ shots on goal but their goalie saved the day. Glad the Avs were still able to beat them, losing to a team that you dominated in every way sucks.

  3. Georgiev really needed a game like this to get some confidence back. He's really starting to come into his own as a good goalie. Avs also needed this win too. Sorokin, in my opinion, is better than Vasy and Shesterkin

  4. The Islanders were out shot 2:1, give Sorokin a lot of credit. He let up just the one goal in the S/O on a great move that took him too far out of position to make the save. The Islanders brass do just enough to make themselves competitive, but not built as a true contender for the cup. '83 will remain.

  5. Wow! What a game! You don't often see a scoreless game through overtime (still way more exciting than a scoreless soccer game). Both goalies were outstanding, especially Sorokin. That move Rantanen made right before the end of regulation was sick! Flipping the puck over the defender and getting it back to get a good shot on goal. Would have been a great way to end the game there. Rodrigues's game winner in the shootout was a beauty!! Go Avs!!

  6. Sorokin for sure deserved better but team not playing very well in front of him last 5 or 6 starts. 1-1-2 road trip so far not horrible. Holmstrom earning a lot more responsibility and can see Bailey being scratched more often for Holmstrom. Walstrom better pick his game up too. From what I see Holmstrom already has a better all around game.
