  1. To watch this as a 17 year old ever since a 10 year old and be a Capitals fan and experience this in my lifetime is Spectacular Congratulations Alexander Ovechkin! Merry Christmas Everyone! ❤️💚🏒🥅🎄

  2. Can't believe we're getting to witness this.
What an absolutely incredible player. People really dogged him a lot early on for only being able to score and not being able to win.
He's got that cup, and now all we want is for him to score goals.

    CONGRATS OVI!! 8️⃣🦅🇷🇺

  3. Witnessing Ovechkin make play and make history is like having watched Mantle, Ruth, and Ted Williams in their day. It's hard to equate since it's in real time, but that really his the magnitude of it.

  4. So grateful and thankful I got to meet him in 2018. Class act and legendary player. So proud for him and honored that he has remained loyal as a winner with my favorite team, the Capitals. We are witnessing history in the making. 🦅

  5. I would tell non hockey fans 10 years ago that Ovechkin is like the Lebron James of the NHL, because of his size, strength, explosiveness and how he wouldn't get injured. Now it's all time stats as well

  6. He makes me more and more proud to be a Washington Capitals fan! The team would be NOTHING without him. Can't wait to see him break the record and retire the number eight.

  7. Man how crazy would it be if he gets 895 against the oilers. They won't play again this year unless it's in the playoffs and if it's far enough down the road next year it could happen. Now that would be something

  8. Crazy to think that he started his career when I started playing hockey and here I am 15 years later watching him still do great things!
