It’s weird that a player can be penalized for stopping a puck from potentially hitting and injuring a fan
Dude could've easily argued that he was just protecting the medical staff and coaches etc. They could legit die if they got hit in the wrong spot

This should not be a penalty. Stopping the puck from hitting trainers or going into the crowd should be an obvious good thing to do.
Puck is already out of play and out of bounds, makes no sense. What other sport penalizes the players on the bench for a action that has zero impact on the game… Other than potentially saving a FAN from injury. Absolutely joke rule.

If a player on the bench safes the puck from going over the glass or hitting someone on the bench it's a penalty, but if a goalie sitting on the bench catches the Puck with the glove, it's not a penalty, sounds completely fair and logical
