  1. wtf the Canes scored twice after giving up an empty netter with 2 mins left then won it in OT. stupid Metro division

  2. At the all star break and we’re on a 104 ~~win~~ point pace. Very impressive turnaround considering where we were on December 3(85 point pace).

Also, I am befuddled as to how people watched Filip Chytil(drafted in 2017) not truly break out until 2023, and are already giving up on Lafreniere and to a lesser extent Kakko. Give young players time.

  3. Nice send off into the All Star break

Halak is a really reliable backup goalie and he deserves a ton of credit especially after the rough start he’s had

  4. #RANGERS: WIN DESPITE THE REFS’ BEST EFFORTS

  5. Jaroslav Halak, who started the season 0-5, is 6-1 in his last 7 starts. Pretty awesome turnaround

  6. Chytil has doubled his goal count from last season, and has matched it if playoffs are included.

  7. That was one of the more impressive empty netters you’ll see from Vesey, that was a fucking rocket from downtown. So satisfying to watch

  8. Chytil has hit another gear maybe we can stop seeing Horvat posts. Great way to go into the break

  9. We need a wing for zib and bread and I go to war with this team. I like tro and kreider.

  10. Here’s the optimistic view. Imagine how much more dominant we’d look if our powerplay was functional

  11. The beginning of the 3rd had some serious playoff energy from both teams with the back and fourth, what a fun game and awesome win, halak kicked absolute fucking ass this game! Happy for a goal from kreids this game and him and trocheck playing well together is awesome, great game overall cant wait for the next lgr!

  12. In the spirit of all the gross overreactions when we lose:

The Rangers are going to win the Stanley Cup. There is no alternative.

  13. as an ardent halak defender i feel vindicated. my man is a true ally w the way he played, really turned out for the gays tonight. LFGR

  14. This dub is exactly what we need going into the all star break. I missed the first period, but everyone looked rather solid tonight. Halak looking better and better every game he gets out there. I’m also gonna need peeps in the sub to put some respect on the kid line in general. I know Laffy isn’t having the year we all want, but these players need time to properly, you know…grow up. Kakko, and Laf and still both 21 years old. Maybe cut them some slack, and adjust your expectations to something more realistic?

Anywho, gonna be a while before we reconvene. See ya in 10.

  15. – Kreids – Trocheck – Goody is a checking line that works. They all play an honest North-South games and they mesh well with each other. Goody is a 3rd liner making 3rd line money who’s finally playing on the right line. Trocheck finally has the hard working wingers he needs to succeed. And Kreids is reaping the benefits of linemates willing to just chuck the puck on net and see what happens.

    – Kids line getting better every night. Never break them up.

    – Zbad’s line is so close to actually working. Vesey’s playing well above his weight class and it shows, even if he scored an empty netter tonight. He’s doing the best with what the coach is asking of him but he’s just not the right fit up there. That’s not to say that Kravy would be the right fit either, not until he shows the ability to consistently defend against NHL top lines.

    – 4th line’s pretty bad. Lezysnzsnszn doesn’t even move the needle enough for me to spell his name right. Cuylle had a scrap but does NOT look ready for NHL minutes. Goat is out there, an island onto himself with all that speed and nowhere to use it.

    – 2.5 effective lines isn’t too bad. If it were up to me, I’d start the trade deadline with an acquisition for the top line. I prefer Tarasenko as a rental but don’t hate the idea of Vatrano coming back for another run. Then get Motter back for the 4th. I think that’d be a solid lineup going into the playoffs.

    – Halak good. Only goal against came after a penalty that wasn’t called and on a 1% no angle shot. He had a shut out in my heart.

  16. * The Hork’s (Drunken and abbreviated) View from 222

    * Yay, we won in the Reverse Retros! And a POPPIN crowd on a Friday night.
    * Strong first period performance. Maybe but as many shots on net, but two goals is good.
    * Props to Adin Hill, he played very well tonight. I was afraid we were going to get goalie’d. Though he did have a third period IF YOUR A GOALTENDER moment.
    * SO many props to Jaro Halák. If he don’t have the Broadway Hat, what the crap man.
    * Kreider and Trocheck. Keep these two together. I know, I know Kreibanejad, but Zibby is better with Panarin, Kreider with Trocheck.
    * Will Cuylle, welcome to the National Hockey League’s 5 minutes for fighting club. Good tilt for the kids, but where the heck did it come from?
    * We did get refballed. The trip on Lafrenière was maliciously ignored. The Hot Dog Man should not have had the chance to score that. Respect for a crafty shot, but still no shouldn’t’a had the chance.
    * Speaking of the kids line, not too much production, but solid performance tonight regardless. Very happy to see them back together, good chances. GERARD! NO TOUCHY.
    * But how can I forget FILDA potting his 16th. Look, we may be delayed with developing the kids, but they getting there. Keep the faith my brothers and sisters.
    * Second period was a little lackluster, but third period was back to good pressure, scoring opportunities (the aforementioned FILDA!)
    * Jaro Halák really earned his first star tonight. Solid through the whole game and kept on saving the day through the third. ~~5-0 in his last 5~~ 6-1 in his last 7 correct? ***Good shit.***
    * Jimmy Vesey snagging the empty net cut the last leg of the knights. This was no flesh wound, they can try to call it a draw, but we all know the Rangers, Kings of the New Yorkers soared victorious like an unladen African swallow.
    * Feel to mention, I didn’t see any bad to Ben Harpur tonight, could have sworn he got two assists but the one is fine, he’ll be all right the next two years on that league minimum.
    * Total side note, how the crap do the St. Louis and Toronto drop games to Arizona and Ottawa respectively? Some serious bull💩 being dropped on my fantasy team. (Hey, I warned y’all I was drunk.)

All in all, solid game against a normally solid opponent, team played solid without (to my distracted eyes) serious fault, I liked the lines, and I’m honestly feeling all right about the team tonight.

  17. If anyone was listening to the radio feed Dave Maloney was stomping holes in our PP1 like a motherfucker.

  18. And with that, in the Rangers last three games, they go into the bye week with (correct me if I’m wrong) 5 points. Better than where the team was before the helmet throw. Since the helmet throw, they have played well.
Onto the game, Ring a ding, ding baby! A very good win. The Halak-ness monster(nice nickname) played his best game as a ranger. Stings he still couldn’t get the shutout. But man, oh baby he made good saves. Penalty kill looked really well. Powerplay on the other hand.. SHOOT THE PUCK!!! But hey, everyone complains about the 4th line getting minutes.
Speaking the 4th line, they looked impressive. Cuylle swam in the deep end and got into his first fight. Loved it. Trocheck got a deserved goal after soooo many posts. TIL that Christopher James Kreider, has played 700 games with the Rangers, and is climbing up the list of top goal scorers in franchise history. His goal was; greasy, grindy, gritty, and most importantly, a >!DIRTY, DIRTY, GOAL !< in which the Rangers need to score more of if they want to be successful imo. But what REALLY impressed me, was Filip Chytil tonight. With big iron on his hip (a New Vegas reference lol) scored a beautiful goal that he stayed with the play. OHHH Baby, what a goal. Chytil, threading the needle. Kids on fire in recent games. I’ll leave it the Chytil talk to this song, [https://youtu.be/uZD8HKVKneI](https://youtu.be/uZD8HKVKneI) . Vesey’s empty net goal from the fairway sealed the win.

Good win for the Rangers tonight. 2 points going into the bye and all star break( I think) which once again, they get to keep those points. Every point counts. Need to pick up more post All Star break. Off till the 6th. Onto the Flames. Probably gonna watch more hockey lol. Rangers win, which all that matters. God Save the King. Back afta dis.

  19. Two (2) things of note after tonight:

1: Jaro Halak is so much better than any of us gave him credit for. 🤯🤘
2: Filly Chytyl is the best forward on this team.

    Let’s Fucking Go, Rangers! 🎉❤️🎉🔥

  20. There’s no way we lose chytil this off-season right? I assume he’s the main guy drury makes sure we re sign , Idk if there would be a move in my 15 years of watching this team that had made me more furious as that would

  21. Was going to be a long all star break if we shit the bed on this one. Thank God. Loving the kids back together, loving the kreider Goodrow trochek line….wish we had a solid 4th that didn’t get changed every fucking game. And of course I wish bread would kick into a higher gear. So talented but I’m noticing more and more dogshit turnovers, lazy plays, no back check..so frustrating.

  22. I still can’t fucking believe that penalty on Laf didn’t get called right before the goal against. Maybe I was too fuckin drunk but that seemed egregious. Halak got the shutout in my heart at least.
